Symposium “Migration bridge between countries of Central Asia and Russia”, November 2011
A symposium “Migration bridge between the countries of Central Asia and Russia” was held in Moscow and in Khujand (Northern Tajikistan) in November 2011. Guests from 23 countries such as Russia, Brazil, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Japan, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Germany took part in the symposium that was organised by the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for social and political studies, and Center for social demography and economic sociology. The co-organisers of the symposium were the “AWO Heimatgarten” Foundation, EU Project “Bridges of good Neighbourhood”, the UN Population Fund, Russian Foundation for Basic Research, IOM Moscow.

„Meet Europe“ in Bremerhaven, September 2011
From 19.09.2011 until 26.09.2011 an intercultural youth meeting, funded by the EU- Program YOUTH IN ACTION, took place in Bremerhaven, Germany. The participating countries were: Germany, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Armenia and the Ukraine. The theme of the exchange was „Discrimination based on ethnical and national identity“.

Business trip of NGO “Uralskiy dom” and “AWO Heimatgarten”, October 2011
From 16.10.2011 till 23.10.11, the delegation of the NGO “Uralskiy dom” and “AWO Heimatgarten” visited prospective partner organizations in Central Asia. The main aim of the trip was to establish contacts with the working agencies in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. The visit included trips to the following cities: Dushanbe (capital of Tajikistan), Bishkek (capital of Kyrgyzstan), Osh (south of Kyrgyzstan).
